Great Lakes Trombone Choir, Birch Browning, conducting, with Jeff Dee (Buffalo Philharmonic), Jeff Gray (Rochester Philharmonic), Shachar Israel (Cleveland Orchestra), Jonathan Lombardo (Buffalo Philharmonic), Jim Nova (Pittsburgh Symphony), Jason Smith (CSU), Tim Smith (Buffalo Philharmonic), Ken Thompkins (Detroit Symphony) & Ed Zadrozny (University of Akron).
Program includes Derek Bourgeois’s Scherzo Funebre, Handel’s Royal Fireworks Overture (arr. Carlson), Humperdink’s Dream Pantomime (Hansel & Gretel, arr. Courtwright), J.S. Bach’s Passacaglia (arr. Hunsberger), Fauré’s Pavane (arr. Bollinger), Hidas’s Alteba Trio & Shostakovich’s Prelude and Fugue (arr. Nova).
Admission: $15, $8 students and seniors with ID, at the door.
