What are You Grateful for This Holiday Season?

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we asked readers to share what they're most grateful for. Below are some responses from students at the Campus International School and from other members of the Campus District. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Alex, 2nd Grade

I’m grateful for my family. I do many things with my family such as go grocery shopping, have family movie night and wind-down time. I feel supported by my family when they let me sleep in their beds when I am scared and when they cheer for me in soccer. Also they support me by helping me do my homework. I am thankful for my family because they love me!

I am most grateful to play the violin. When I play the violin it makes me feel so delighted. The violin is so awesome. Sometimes I get nervous at concerts. I think I play elegant.

I am most grateful for my teacher, Mrs. Arens, because I love to do math with her. Every day when I look in my folder I see a reading log. I love the reading log and I love to read. My teacher is nice and I love her.

I am grateful that I have a tablet. I got my tablet on Christmas from my mom. I felt happy when I got my tablet. I play games on my tablet and I watch movies. My favorite game is Zombie Road Trip and my favorite movie is Star Wars.

I am most grateful to have a mom and dad to play with me on my xbox 360. We play Madden 12 and 13, 2K 12, 13 and 14. we go outside and we play football.

I am most grateful to have a mom and dad to help me with sports. I am grateful to have a family to support me. I am grateful to have a sister to play with me so I don’t get bored.

I am most thankful for my family because they are kind. They help me with lots and lots of things like homework and tying my shoes tightly. They help me with getting to the bus stop on time. My family gives me a safe place to live and play. My family takes me to the doctor when I’m sick. My brothers and sister help me do chores. My grandparents make sure I eat good food and take my vitamins every day.

I’m grateful for my family because they are special and they love me very much. I’m also grateful for God because he loves me and he wakes me up every morning and keeps me safe throughout my day. Last but not least I’m most grateful for my mom because she means the world to me. She tries to always teach me right from wrong and to always treat people how I would want to be treated. She does so much for my sister and I and I love her so much.

I am most grateful for losing. I am grateful for losing because I am not always good at things. I am not always good at running because I can’t run fast. I can’t be in a race because I can’t even be in second place. I always end up in last place.

I am most grateful for my adoptive family because I would not be here right now. My birth family was not good because it was not warm and there was no power in my old house. I was so happy that my mom picked me. I love my family!

I am most grateful for my family and friends. If I didn’t have my family, I would be like an orphan and eat from garbage cans and be freezing in winter. If I didn’t have friends I would be lonely and I would see other people with friends and I would be sorry for myself and be happy for the people who had friends.

I am grateful for my family, my brother, by blanket, and my school. I am grateful for my family because they love me. I am grateful for my brother because he plays with me. I am grateful for my blanket because I have had it for seven years and I sleep with it every day. I am grateful for my school because it is awesome and I have a good teacher and good friends. That’s what I am grateful for.

I’m most grateful for my family because we take fun trips every year and we have the best time ever. My mother makes sure I am healthy. She takes care of me all the time. I really love my mother. I love my big sister. My sister helps me when I don’t feel so well. She plays with me all the time. I really enjoy having a big sister.

I am grateful for my cousins because they love me. I am thankful for my family because they love me and they care for me.

I am grateful for my family. I appreciate that they love me. I love that my dad does legos with me. I appreciate that my mom helps me with my homework. I enjoy making up games with Sheridan. I enjoy sharing a room with my baby sister, Fiona. I am also grateful for all the other people in my life. I am lucky to have wonderful neighbors. My neighbor Jean takes me and Sheridan to a lot of fun places. My neighbor Margaret takes me on walks with her dog Ruby. I am grateful for my friends.

I am most grateful for my family because if id didn’t have a family I would not have food, toys and a TV. That’s why I’m so grateful for my family.
